Simple & Clear: QuikClip doesn't collect, track, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays in your browser.
🚫 What We DON'T Do
QuikClip is built with privacy first. We never:
- Track your browsing activity
- Collect personal information
- Send data to external servers
- Use analytics or tracking tools
- Share information with third parties
- Monitor your saved tab groups
- Store data outside your browser
✅ How QuikClip Works
Everything happens locally in your Chrome browser:
- Local Storage: Tab groups saved using Chrome's storage API
- Chrome Sync: Optional syncing through your Google account
- Zero External Calls: No network requests to any servers
- You Control Everything: Delete any saved group anytime
💾 Data Storage Details
When you save a tab group, QuikClip stores only:
- URLs of tabs in the group
- Custom name for the group
- Timestamp of when saved
- Tab count (e.g., "4 tabs")
This data never leaves your device unless you enable Chrome Sync.
🗑️ Deleting Your Data
You have complete control:
- Click "Delete" on any saved group to remove it
- Use "Close All" to clear current tabs
- Uninstall QuikClip to remove all stored data
- Clear browser data to wipe everything
🔑 Required Permissions
QuikClip needs these Chrome permissions to work:
- Tabs: To read and organize your open tabs
- Storage: To save groups locally
- Tab Groups: To create and manage Chrome tab groups
We use these permissions only for core functionality, nothing else.
